MA Professional Practice in Dance

As a professional ballet dancer, I have always been interested in enhancing my performance and evolving in my field. My career ambitions and my goals directed me to the conscious use of imagery in my practice. My enormous thirst for knowledge made me wonder if other dance professionals use imagery as well in their practice and this is when I decided to research the use of imagery for my study. The participants in my study include dance and sport practitioners with remarkable achievements in their field, and as I am interested in the understanding of their experiences, I concluded that a qualitative ethnographic case study method and in-depth semi-structured interviews as data collection instruments would be the most appropriate for my research.
